About

I am a mom to two lovely wee little girls, Lulu, my toddler, and the little bean, my 7 month old. My husband is the greatest, and I feel fortunate to be able to stay home with my ladies. Before being a stay at home Mom I was working part time and freelance as an Art Therapist, and I was freelancing as an illustrator. Other highlights in my work career include furniture finishing, set painting, decorative painting and a brief stint on a chimney repair crew (also, I bartended,) I’m proud of my art, and of my varied career path history, and I’m piecing it altogether with being a Mom. This blog is helping motivate me to get back on a regular art making rhythm, and helping me focus on what I want out of art. Being a Mom has changed everything about me, including my relationship to art making, and I’m grateful for the chance to write about all that here.
